TJ Warren

TJ Warren (he/him) is a dancer, choreographer, and educator. Starting his journey in South Carolina, in his youth is where his foundation was built to hold these titles.

Warren holds a B.A in Dance Performance and Choreography with a cognate in Education, obtained from the University of South Carolina. In university, Warren has been in works of, Bill T Jones/Arnie Zane Company, Colin Connor, Peter Powlus, and more. University also provided Warren with choreographic and dance education knowledge and experiences, leading him to post-college spaces that have supported and deepened his process of artistic becoming.

He began his professional career in 2023, as a company member of Unbound Dance Company, located in Columbia, SC, under the direction of Caroline Lewis-Jones and Morgan Holton. From there, Warren continued exploring new avenues, leading him to train at several prestigious intensives, including New Dialect and the American Dance Festival Summer Intensive, where he worked with Joy Davis, Brenna Monroe-Cook, Verena Pircher, and created work in collaboration with Jenna Riegel.

He additionally trained with David Dorfman Dance at their Emerging Artist Winter Intensive in 2025.
Prior to graduation, in early spring of 2025, Warren booked another professional job with Gaspard & Dancers, based in Durham, NC. Through this experience, Warren has gone on tour, worked and share knowledge with younger dancers, and has grown in understanding of the artistry, discipline, and community that dance creates.

Currently Warren is working on building his repertoire as Choreographer and finding communities to share his work. He most recently has presented (II Queens in Harlem), in partnership with Ian Kell, at Arts on Site in October of 2025 and February of 2026. As well as performing and working in collaboration with Sara Shelton Mann and Jesse Zaritt and other dancers in L/are we dreaming.
